Job Description

Better leisure centres, operated by GLL, run the UK's largest public swimming lesson programme in the UK, with over 140,000 pupils attending lessons each week and over 1,500 swimming teachers working to provide invaluable life skills to our customers. In Manchester alone there are over 5,600 pupils on the Swim School programme over 9,500 pupils on the Education Swimming programme.

 

The Swim School Supervisor is the link between our customers, the swimming teachers, schools and the leisure centre teams. This key role provides technical support to the centre management and  front-of-house team via sales and administration of the education Swimming programme and swim school programme  and helps to ensure a high-quality, consistent level of customer service. Your role will bring organisation and structure to the education swimming programme and swim school programme as you develop a plan to manage the programme, lead and inspire your swimming teachers and grow the income and number of pupils learning to swim. This role offers a real opportunity to affect positive change, get closer to GLL's National Aquatics Team and increase your earnings.

 

You'll no doubt be an experienced swimming teacher looking for the next stage in your career and be full of ideas of how to make things better. We'll offer in-house training to support you with your role as well development opportunities such as 'train the trainer' and the STA Tutor training programme. It goes without saying that you'll be a CIMSPA professional standard Level 2 (STA or Swim England) swimming teacher and be familiar with online booking systems, the customer service environment and be computer literate. If you've worked with Course Pro and Legend, it would be beneficial.
