Job Description
The LSSP are seeking to appoint enthusiastic & self-motivated Apprentice/s to lead and assist delivery of physical activity opportunities for children in schools across Liverpool and beyond, from January 2020
Working in a primary school as a champion for physical activity, sport and health, you will organise and lead safe and enjoyable activities at playtimes, lunchtimes, after school and support teachers to deliver PE lessons using the skills you have developed.

52 week contract
30+ hrs per week
Working hours will be determined by the school/ organisation but typically; Monday - Thursday 8.30am-4.30pm & Fridays 9.30-3pm
Model; 4 days in school/ organisation & 1 day per week training (with some full weeks of training during term time)
Term time only plus 5 days during school holidays
This role would suit someone who enjoys working with children, Physical Activity and Sport and would like experience working in schools, sport and education before moving onto further education, university, or employment.
Training Provided:
- Level 2 Community Activator Coach Qualification which will enable the Apprentice to lead sessions and understand participants which prepare them to work in the physical activity & community sport sector.
- Opportunities to gain National Governing Body Coaching Awards, Doorstep Sport Workshops, Behaviour Change Workshops and other accredited qualifications including 1st4Sport & Royal Society of Public Health.
- English and Maths – Prior to taking the End Point Assessment (EPA), Apprentices will need to have achieved Level 1 Maths & English (if necessary)
- Professional Recognition: On successful completion of the Standard, all Apprentices will be automatically given CIMSPA (Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity) at Associate Membership level.
