A brand new Academy in South Hertfordshire, part of a small, but extremely well run Multi-Academy Trust is seeking a talented Maths teacher from September 2020
The academy deliberately offers a much smaller, community centric feel to its sister campus which is only a short distance away. This purpose desgined establishment provides for those children who learn and achieve best in a smaller environment coupled with an extremely strong sense of community. The school is extremely proud of this strong sense of community, which is nurtured so that every child can enjoy making a positive contribution to their school.
Both of the academies function on the same principles of:
Strong leadership, relentlessly focused on achieving the best possible outcomes for each child
- Academic rigour
- Extremely high and non-negotiable expectations of behaviour
- Extensive pastoral support systems including Directors of Learning, student support officers, Learning Mentors, counsellors and extended provision.
They firmly believe that every child can succeed in whatever they put their minds to. Through the mantras of Respect, Aspire, Nurture and Achieve all young people are encouraged and taught to be respectful, resilient, compassionate, confident and engaged.
Within the school there are extremely high expectations of behaviour, attendance and uniform, all of which shape the school community.
The school benefits from a fantastic range of facilities. The vast majority of lessons take place in a brand-new teaching block. This includes brand new Science, ICT and Technology facilities. The school also benefits from an indoor swimming pool and a brand-new sports playing surface.
The student body plays an influential and exciting role in shaping the future of the school. Through the Student Executive and Community Captains, led by our Head Boy and Girl, the students have a voice in all decisions in the school from the appointment of staff to development of facilities.
As an entirely new school, they drive forward continuous improvements to ensure that every student leaves the school with a high-quality set of qualifications giving them access to the next stage of their educational experience. Beyond examination results, students will leave as well-rounded, respectful young adults.
The school is a happy and caring community, staffed by a team of highly committed teachers and support staff, working in partnership with Trustees and parents to provide the best possible education.
With easy access to major roads and well networks, the schools I accessible from London, the rest of Hertfordshire and neighbouring counties.
