|Job Title:||Health Referral Manager - North London|
|Salary:||Up to £38,089 per annum (40 hours a weeks pro rata plus an 8% bonus following a qualifying period)|
|Contact Name:||Jon Pettit|
If you have a genuine passion for supporting people, join us as a Health Referral Manager at King's Hall Leisure Centre in Lower Clapton, East London and help to improve people's level of fitness, health - and ultimately, quality of life. GLL is a charitable social enterprise and the UK's largest leisure provider, partnering with local authorities to run leisure centres, swimming pools and world-class sporting venues. As a not-for-profit organisation, we're different. Reinvesting back into our facilities, communities and people, we're growing - and committed to developing the skills of our 'Healthier Together' Exercise Referral Instructors too, through accredited and on-the-job training.
The Healthier Together Hackney programme offers both weight management and exercise on referral pathways to support individuals to achieve short and long term goals ranging from losing weight, to feeling more confident and becoming more active. As a Health Referral Manager, you'll help us to educate people in changing their entire lifestyle.
In this role you will be responsible for managing the Healthier Together Hackney programme, acting as a main point of contact between Commissioners, Schemes and Centres. You will need to ensure that the schemes are as up to date as possible with current local and national guidelines and meet the need of the local community.
As Manager you will be responsible for maintaining a central referral database and feeding information about patients back to key stakeholders. Additionally you will responsible for ensuring that the key performance indicators are met, evaluated and reported on in line with the Commissioners requirements.
Ideally, we're looking for an experienced Health Referral Manager with experience in both Exercise Referral as well as Tier 2 Weight Management. If you're a fitness professional or someone with an academic background in a sporting or health discipline and relevant vocational and management experience who's confident, sensitive and able to inspire and motivate both staff and a wide range of people - this is for you. That means you'll need to be REPS registered with an NVQ Level 3 Fitness Instructor, Level 3 GP Referral and experience of delivering lifestyle and weight management interventions too.
In return, we offer a range of benefits that you'd expect from the UK's largest leisure provider:
• Childcare vouchers
• Ride to work scheme
• Discounted membership at our leisure centres
• The opportunity to join the GLL Society and have a say in how we're run plus associated social events
• Career pathways
• Ongoing training and development
Few fitness careers are as rewarding as this and there are numerous opportunities for further training and development.
If you feel your experience matches this role, apply now.
All pay rates are subject to skills, experience, qualifications, age and location.
To be shortlisted for the role, internal applicants will need to demonstrate their commitment to GLL by becoming a Society member where eligible.
