Street League uses dance fitness to support young people to get into work, education and training. We use a combined sport and employability programme to support young people (aged 16 to 24) who face a range of complex socio-economic barriers to achieve sustained employment, education and training.
The Dance Fitness and Group Exercise Teacher is a dynamic and positive individual who enjoys working in an exciting, challenging, and rewarding environment. Responsible for recruitment and retention of young people onto the Street League Academy, the Dance Fitness and Group Exercise teacher is an integral part of Street League's operational delivery. Targeted on recruitment and retention you will report to the Operations Manager and work alongside our progressions team.
The Dance Fitness and Group Exercise Teacher will be required to support delivery of group employability and personal development workshops at the Street League Academy. They will also deliver a range of dance fitness (e.g. Zumba) and group exercise (e.g. circuits) classes and deliver sports qualifications. These classes will be linked to the Academy curriculum in an engaging and innovative teaching environment. Experience of working with young people is desirable as this role will also be responsible for outreach. A teaching and/or assessor qualification is desirable.
