What is a Contract Manager?

A contract manager is responsible for strategic development, activity participation levels as well as the success of the business from a commercial aspect.

What do they do?

As a contract manager, your tasks include leading a team of people and being responsible for their well-being as well as the facilities and customers. Also further roles include; maintaining excellent customer relations with clients as well as being responsible for the business image to the public in the community.

What qualifications do I need to become an Contract Manager?

-A degree level qualification in Business/ Communication related degree

-Health and Safety Qualification

-5 years of experience in Multi-Site Management of Leisure facilities

-Understanding of P & L and budget analysis

What skills/experience will an employer look for?

-Good communication skills both verbally and written

-Excellent Team Player

-Good basic computer skills, i.e. Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel

-Efficient organisational skills

-Knowledge of health and safety guidelines

-Marketing and financial knowledge

-Knowledge in Swim School and Pool-side safety

-Attend client meetings and present monthly statistics

-Management of staff of 250 +

What salary can I expect?

The Salary in this Job varies, but the basic rate is around £50k per year.
