Valley Leisure celebrated its 25th year as a charity in 2015. Our exclusive focus is promoting the health and wellbeing of the communities of Test Valley with a core mission of “more people more active”.
The Charity is one of the largest local employers in Test Valley and we welcome more than 1 million visits each year across our 5 sites.
The charity was one of the first in the leisure sector to adopt the social enterprise kitemark and, as a social enterprise, any surpluses generated are re-invested into the facilities and services. We are one of the early adopters of social value and have worked with independent experts to produce our Social Return on Investment Report, highlighting the very significant social impact of our services. (A summary of the report is available, please click here).
Our commitment to service excellence and improvement has been recognised by the national industry benchmarking programme – Quest – which is backed by Sport England. Our main sites in Andover and Romsey have been graded as excellent, placing them within the top 10% across the UK.
We operate using commercial disciplines to achieve social outcomes and we aim to make our services available to as many people as possible, whatever their individual circumstances. We work with over 170 community organisations delivering services and provide over £200k of concessionary access to ensure we are as inclusive as possible.
